Being HR

Hi friends,
HR Manager - Being a HR manager is easy, it's like - Men's T-Shirt
I would like to introduce myself first as it is my first blog, regarding HR Functions. I am Tarun Alwadhi, Working as HR Manager from past 7 Years. Being HR and Working in different industries which make me feel confident about my work.

HR Manager seems easy to handle but when you are on the platform, its not an easy task to do, specifically when it comes to recruitment. Recruitment is the process to get the candidates profile, screen and if the person fits in the position to call and fetch the information about and make them come to the organisation for interview. Seems great right!! but NO, Candidates are seeking jobs but don't come to interview and HR needs to face the questions from management, client and many others.

This is only one small part of HR which I consider difficult Because you screen the candidates, talk to them and they are keen to come but next day, they fall sick, some one dies, not interested, even silly excuse like my friends came for party. Being HR, I have heard all this.

There are many other roles of HR Manager, but another major concept is performance appraisal. You know, we can not make every one happy "coz we are not rajma chawal" LOL!!
But that's very true for HR Manager, On the basis of your performance, HR do give you appraisals right but every employee thinks they have worked more than any one's expectations. HR only gives you the appraisals from the report of your immediate manager or one to one discussion they have it with you. Still Some employee are not happy with you.

Then comes the retaining part of the employees which is another difficult part for HR. Management thinks HR have some magic sticks in their hands, they will brain wash the employee to stay in the company, only if the employee is working hard for the company and beneficial for the company. Otherwise, management do not bother because they know there is much more unemployed outside the company to acquire the place of the present.

Orientation,Payroll, EPF deduction, Training and Development of employees, many more are there which I personally feel are not that difficult tasks.

BEING HR is really a tough job!!!

Hopefully, you like my first blog, Looking forward for feedback folks...

Will produce another soon with my experience...

With regards,

Tarun Alwadhi
HR Manager
